In light of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, FBI Director Christopher Wray issued a dire warning on Tuesday, October 31 while giving his âThreats to the Homelandâ Senate testimony. As if it wasn’t already obvious enough, Wray warned that Hamas and other terrorist groups could conduct attacks on American soil while the unrest in Israel continues.
In addition to domestic threats such as violent extremists and domestic violent extremists, Wray also emphasized the importance of addressing foreign terror entities. He noted that there are multiple ongoing investigations into individuals associated with Hamas.
Additionally, according to DHSâs Homeland Threat Assessment report, 172 people on the terror watchlist were apprehended attempting to cross into the U.S. illegally in Fiscal Year 2023 alone; this is higher than all similar encounters from the past six years combined.

The FBI Director also revealed that Iran has attempted assassinations against high-ranking current and former government officials here in America; he went on to mention Hezbollah’s history of espionage, fundraising efforts, and obtaining weapons within our borders too.
With Bidenâs administration having enriched Iran with $100 billion since taking office according to RNC Research, such warnings are more important than ever before.

At an address given earlier this month at an International Association of Chiefs of Police conference in California, Wray urged Americans to stay alert for potential attacks from both domestic and international sources alike – citing antisemitism as a particularly concerning issue: âWhether that be from foreign terrorist organizations or those inspired by them or domestic violent extremists motivated by their own racial animus, the targeting of a community because of their faith is totally unacceptable.”
He then encouraged law enforcement officers to stay vigilant when looking out for signs of someone mobilizing towards violence – emphasizing how they should share any intelligence or observations made with one another so they can protect their communities together: âSo I encourage you to stay vigilant…And I’d also ask you to continue sharing any intelligence or observations you may have…so that together we can safeguard our communities.”
