In Case You Missed It: The entertainment world has lost another icon, as soap opera actor Peter White has just passed away on November 1 at 86 years old. Best known for his portrayal of Lincoln Tyler on the ABC soap opera ā€œAll My Childrenā€, White died as a result of melanoma.

The news was confirmed by Kathleen Noone, who co-starred alongside him in the show from 1978 to 2011. His death marks the end of an illustrious career in entertainment and he will be greatly missed by his many admirers.

Peter White was born in New York City and had a long and varied career in theater as well as film and television which began with his role as Lincoln Tyler on ā€œAll My Childrenā€ back in 1976. He educated himself thoroughly for this craft, graduating from Northwestern Universityā€™s School of Communications before honing his acting skills further at Yale School of Drama.

One of his most memorable performances came when he was part of the original cast in 1968 for the hit Off-Broadway play, ā€˜The Boys in the Bandā€™ which went onto become a cult classic.

White accumulated numerous credits during his career including series such as Cannon, Hill Street Blues, Falcon Crest, The Jeffersons, Hart to Hart Dynasty Simon & Simon Scarecrow & Mrs King NYPD Blue The West Wing Ally McBeal etc. Additionally he made notable appearances in films like Dave Flubber Armageddon Thirteen Days First Daughter etc.

This shows how versatile an actor he was able to be throughout his career working across all mediums with tremendous success.

Recently, another famous soap opera actor has passed away – Tyler Christopher who was renowned for playing Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital died at 50 years old according to Maurice Benard (who plays Sonny Corinthos).
