This week, Donald Trump announced that Senator JD Vance (R-OH) was going to be his vice president.
That would have never happened had a former Obama adviser had his way.
According to David Axelrod, Vance should have been disqualified for comments he made after the assassination attempt against Donald Trump.
Disqualified
All Vance did was state the truth a few hours after the attempt on Trump’s life.
He posted, “Today is not just some isolated incident.
“The central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs.
“That rhetoric led directly to President Trump’s attempted assassination.”
Exactly what was a lie in that statement?
Even so, Axelrod took exception to it, and responded, “If @JDVance1 is on the short list for VP, this Tweet, sent an hour after the assassination attempt in PA, ought to disqualify him in the eyes of the Trump campaign.
“As we now are learning, the gunman’s profile doesn’t seem to match Vance’s premise.
“But at least wait and see! Trump probably doesn’t want a shoot-from-the-hip VP.”
Actually, the profile does match Vance’s premise because even though the shooter was a registered Republican, he was clearly a liberal.
We are now learning that he had made a small donation to a liberal cause as well as having mocked classmates who had supported Donald Trump.
Sadly, because of the screw-up of the Secret Service protection plan that day, the shooter is now dead, and we will never know his true motivations.
Had Director Cheatle not screwed up, agents would have arrested the shooter long before he ever took that shot, which would have given us a chance to get inside this kid’s head to find out what made him snap.
That will never happen, though, because the shooter, after having been spotted long before he took the shot, was able to scale a building, set up, and take his shot at Trump.
