There was a time when Oprah Winfrey was one of the most trusted voices in the country.
She recommended it, people bought it, read it, or use its services.
One person that was once featured by Oprah was João Teixeira de Faria, a Brazilian faith healer.
Yes, that is the same man that just received an additional 99-year sentence, to bring his total years in prison up to almost 400.

This man was not only chummy with Oprah, but he was also running a huge child trafficking operation…
Oprah’s spiritual healer has been sentenced to 99 years in prison after being found guilty of raping and abusing over 600 women and young girls.
João de Deus, or “John of God,” also ran a baby trafficking operation where newborn children were sold to childless couples.

His supporters called him “John of God,” and in addition to Oprah, former US president Bill Clinton, actress Shirley MacLaine, and model Naomi Campbell” all fell for his schtick.
A local outlet reported, “The Justice considered that the medium committed ‘rape of vulnerable person’ and ‘sexual violation through fraud’ against eight victims between the years 2010 and 2018.
“In addition to the prison sentence, João de Deus was also condemned to pay R$ 100 thousand in compensation for moral damages to the victims.”
The additional sentence now brings his total up to 370 years in prison, yet this man is currently serving time on “house arrest.”
The outlet explained, “Despite the new convictions establishing the fulfillment of the sentence in a closed regime, João de Deus is currently under house arrest due to a second instance decision.
“Since his arrest at the end of 2018, he has alternated between a closed regime and house arrest.
“The defense of João de Deus alleged that he suffers from a series of illnesses to obtain this benefit.”
Who cares what illnesses this man suffers from… the prison surely has a hospital ward.
This is what happens when people in that little liberal click get arrested though… they are not truly held accountable.
