A lot of people will not be happy with what I am about to write, but I don’t care because it needs to be said.
Michelle Obama is a racist that wants nothing more than the racial divide to continue in this country.
If We Can’t Say It…
I have always said that the measure of something being truly racist is how it would go over if that same statement were made reversing the parties.
In this case, it is Michelle Obama claiming white people are afraid of blacks.
The former First Lady stated, “But unbeknownst to us, we grew up in the period — as I write — called ‘white flight.’
“That as families like ours, upstanding families like ours … As we moved in, white folks moved out because they were afraid of what our families represented.
“And I always stop there when I talk about this out in the world because, you know, I want to remind white folks that y’all were running from us — this family with all the values that you’ve read about.
“You were running from us. And you’re still running, because we’re no different than the immigrant families that are moving in … the families that are coming from other places to try to do better.”
She would late state that she “can’t make people not afraid of black people.
“I can’t explain what’s happening in your head, but maybe if I show up every day as a human, a good human … maybe, just maybe, that work will pick away at the scabs of your discrimination.”
Now, just insert white for black and vice versa, and you have a racial scandal on your hands.
It’s Not the Race, It’s the Element
While Michelle Obama claims it is minorities causing white people to flee from neighborhoods, she could not be more wrong and I know this because I lived through it.
I grew up in a mostly white middle-class neighborhood that dramatically changed over the course of just a few years.
As some of the older families died off or families moved, the neighborhood became more diverse.
Nobody moved out when Hispanic or black families moved in, because everyone that was moving into our neighborhood were good people.
My group of friends for most of my childhood looked like a United Nations meeting, and everyone was happy and got along great.
However, when a Hispanic group moved into the neighborhood and took over a house and started to bring drugs into the neighborhood, everything changed.
In addition to the drugs, crime started to rise and people were literally being assaulted on our neighborhood streets, including my own brother.
Families started to move after that, ALL of the families, which at the time was described as white flight, but that is not what it was.
Families were moving simply because this one group of people brought an element into our neighborhood we had never seen or experienced before.
They could have been black, white, Hispanic… the only thing that mattered is this neighborhood was no longer safe, so people left.
Today, that neighborhood remains littered with drugs and it is one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Philadelphia.
Did that make us all racist? By Michelle Obama’s standards, that would be the case.
Look at today’s entertainment and how it has become acceptable for black people to threaten or ostracize white people on prime-time TV.
The plot of “The Neighborhood” is a white man upsetting a black neighborhood because he bought a home there.
Can Michelle Obama honestly say that white people would be welcome in a minority neighborhood in this day and age?
How well would that family be received and how much pressure would be put on them to leave?
Take that show and flip the characters and it would NEVER be allowed on TV because it would be deemed to be racist. So then why is “The Neighborhood” not deemed racist now?
By Michelle Obama’s statement, there should be an abundance of homes up for sale at Martha’s Vineyard now that she and Barack have set up shop there, right? But that is not happening, is it?
People don’t leave neighborhoods because of people, they leave because the situation has worsened and they want to get out before property values decline.
When you bring a criminal element of any sort into a respectable neighborhood, be they black, white, Hispanic, or any other race, you ruin the neighborhood and people leave.
Michelle Obama can call it white flight, but I would call it common sense.
