A woman posted a bathroom selfie without looking at the background of the picture, embarrassing herself and her boyfriend.
Shannan Butt, 22, was so excited about what she saw as a perfect bathroom selfie, posing in a cap and sunglasses, so she immediately posted it on Instagram to show all of her followers.
Less than a half hour later, Shannan discovered that she missed a very embarrassing detail: in the background, there was a mirror reflection of her boyfriend, Harry, wiping his butt.
After seeing the embarrassing detail, Shannan quickly deleted the post. Her friends found the mistake hilarious, encouraging her to share the picture on her Twitter page.
“As if I had this photo up on my insta for 37 minutes before noticing that my boyfriend is literally WIPING HIS ARSE in the mirror behind me, sound asf x,” she tweeted.
The post received more than 125,000 likes and hundreds of comments, many of them commenting on Harry’s wiping style.
“Why is he stood up? What kind of person does that?!” one commenter asked.
“Stand up wiper, respect,” another wrote.
Shannan stated: “I was with my friend and we both immediately started crying laughing [when we noticed it] and I was like omg I need to delete it. Then I mentioned it in the group chat and my friend was like you have to put that on Twitter it will be hilarious.”
“I was in [the bathroom] first and he came in and I was like, ‘babe I’m taking a picture’, and he just carried on so, I just took the picture without thinking anything of it and left,” she added.
