Last week, they arrested a Maryland mother and charged her for deliberately starving her daughter to death. She withheld food from her 15-month-old daughter for three weeks, and then sadly, the child died.
Kiearra Tolson, 23, was apparently a young single mother (if you want to call her that) from Silver Spring, Maryland. She was charged with this crime after an acquaintance of hers called 911 and told them that Ms. Tolson had admitted to starving her child to death on purpose, thus killing her.
When Tolson was interviewed by the Baltimore police, that is when she admitted that she had starved her child for at least three-and-a-half weeks. That’s 24 or 25 days, folks. One can only imagine the torture that this young girl had to go through. Sad. Just sad.
Blair Niles was supposed to be a bright and bubbly toddler, full of energy, going to playgrounds, and exploring her world and learning. But instead she was starved to death last month.
This alone would have been bad enough, but what Tolson DID NEXT shows just how DEPRAVED she truly is. Once her young child had passed away, she put the little girl’s small body in a pillowcase and threw it in a dumpster behind her apartment building. Indeed folks, there are some people who wouldn’t even be able to do that to a beloved family pet such as a cat, dog, or even a hamster, much less a small child!
Niles’ body was never found, but the police did fine corroborating evidence of a pillow without a pillow case in Tolson’s apartment. Blair’s father was also interviewed, and he said that he had not heard from either Tolson or his daughter since April.
After Tolson was arrested, she was held without bond by State District Judge John Moffett. A public defender represented Tolson at this initial hearing.
All one can say is that let’s all hope she is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
