Early Saturday, the internet was abuzz with rumors flying about an unscheduled trip to Walter Reed for President Trump.
As it turns out, Trump’s camp stated the President wanted to get a headstart on tests for his annual physical.
Getting a Headstart
Trump’s annual physical is usually conducted in February and is always on his regular schedule.
Saturday’s trip was not planned, which raised some concerns from Trump supporters.
Their worries were understandable, as Trump has been under considerable and noticeable stress lately.
In addition to the normal strains of the office, the impeachment inquiry is clearly taking a toll on Trump.
Personally, I don’t believe I have ever seen him as angry and upset than he was at the podium this week.
Stephanie Grisham, Trump’s spokesperson, assured everyone that this was nothing more than Trump “kind of getting a headstart with some routine checkups.”
Trump himself tried to put everyone at ease with a tweet after the visit was over…
Visited a great family of a young man under major surgery at the amazing Walter Reed Medical Center. Those are truly some of the best doctors anywhere in the world. Also began phase one of my yearly physical. Everything very good (great!). Will complete next year.

Trump Health Concerns
President Trump’s weight and eating habits are regularly brought up as a concern.
Even at 6’ 3”, 243 pounds is a lot of weight to carry.
More concerning is the fact that Trump has a BMI of 30.4, which would put him in the obese category.
The President gained six pounds last year, which many health experts attributed to possible stress eating.
Considering Trump’s penchant for steaks, fast food, and sweets, this was not really a surprise.
Even with all those challenges, though, Trump has remained high energy and continues to keep one of the busiest schedules we have ever seen.
Grisham stated, “The President remains healthy and energetic without complaints, as demonstrated by his repeated vigorous rally performances in front of thousands of Americans several times a week.”
Hopefully, everything coming out of the White House is true because Trump has made health concerns a campaign issue for both Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.
If any negative reports come out concerning his health, it would quickly be used against him by Democrats.
