Throughout the impeachment effort, the words “quid pro quo” were forced down our throats.
The big point to stress is that Dems believed leveraging position for political benefit was wrong.
However, several people, including our President, have noted that what Pelosi is now doing with the articles of impeachment is, in fact, quid pro quo, or at the very least, an abuse of power.
Getting Leverage
Most pundits believe House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is holding the articles of impeachment to get leverage for the Senate trial.
Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) did not mince her words, outright accusing Pelosi of abuse of power…
Nancy Pelosi is demanding the United States Senate play by her rules, or else she will not send over the articles of impeachment.
Hmm….so Pelosi is attempting to obtain a result through a threat?
It sounds like abuse of power to me. pic.twitter.com/22maMlkltc

Remember, this is the same charge levied by one of the constitutional experts called by the House Judiciary Committee.
President Trump also chimed in on the move by Pelosi, making an argument for quid pro quo…
Nancy Pelosi is looking for a Quid Pro Quo with the Senate. Why aren’t we Impeaching her?

Whichever way you choose to go, the case here seems to be pretty simple and it is one the media needs to start to hit Pelosi and her fellow Democrats on.
Still Not Official
In addition to the charges levied against Pelosi, there is another reason she is holding back on the transmission of the articles…
She knows she has no case.
Senate Majority Leader McConnell (R-KY) has already stated he is not budging on how this trial will be conducted.
McConnell cited the same process that was adopted by a Democrat-run Senate in 1999 when Clinton was impeached.
That, however, is not good enough for Pelosi, who is trying to set the rules in a chamber where she has no authority.
She and every Democrat in office know they have no case because the House failed to make its case.
Even so, that does not excuse Pelosi’s blatant abuse of power, a clear request for a quid pro quo.
So, if Trump can get impeached for these acts when they did not happen, what happens to Pelosi when the evidence is clearly sitting right in front of us?
