Trump Slams Dems for Timing of Impeachment Hearings

President Trump is overseas in one of the most important meetings he has during the year.

Congress, however, did not take into consideration the NATO trip, and Trump was not afraid to let them hear about it.

Perfect Timing… for Democrats

Trump had no plans of attending the impeachment inquiry, so that is not the issue here.

The problem is that these hearings will be going on while Trump is sitting down with other elected representatives and world leaders.

The hearings can and will hurt his effectiveness in discussing some very serious matters with these people.

How seriously can another president take Trump when they think there is the possibility of him being removed from office?

What is their incentive to buckle to his demands or work out better deals?

Knowing this, Trump stated, “So the Democrats, the radical left Democrats, the do-nothing Democrats decided when I’m going to NATO, which was set up a year ago, that when I’m going to NATO that was the exact time.”

Pat Cipollone, White House counsel, also chimed in, telling the House Judiciary Committee, “You scheduled this hearing—no doubt purposely—during the time that you know the President will be out of the country attending the NATO Leaders Meeting in London.

“As for the hearing scheduled for December 4, we cannot fairly be expected to participate in a hearing while the witnesses are yet to be named and while it remains unclear whether the Judiciary Committee will afford the president a fair process through additional hearings.

“More importantly, an invitation to an academic discussion with law professors does not begin to provide the President with any semblance of a fair process.

“Accordingly, under the current circumstances, we do not intend to participate in your Wednesday hearing.”

When Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) got the response, all he could say that is was “unfortunate.”

What Is Happening?

The next few days are rather critical stages for the impeachment.

House members were reportedly given the draft of the impeachment report yesterday.

Today, the House Intelligence Committee is set to vote on the impeachment report.

Tomorrow and moving forward, the House Judiciary Committee begins to hold its hearings for impeachment.

Why this is still going on, however, is beyond me.

During a recent interview, Ukrainian President Zelensky once again stated there was never any quid pro quo with Trump.

In fact, his comments led us to believe that he is of the mindset that by Dems continuing to push this narrative, it is actually hurting Ukraine-U.S. relations because it makes his administration seem corrupt.

Dems, however, insist on pushing forward, refusing to listen to the facts, as they would rather use secondhand information and conjecture to remove Trump from office.
