The frustration by Donald Trump has never been more evident than in his press conference late Monday afternoon.
Trump took questions during a cabinet meeting and finally aired his grievances against the Democrat party regarding the pushback over his Syria decision and well as the impeachment.
What Agreement?
While there was outrage on both sides of the aisle over the troop withdrawal from Syria, Trump is holding firm that it was the right move to make.
He stated, âWhere is the agreement that says we have to stay in the Middle East for the rest of humanity? For the rest of civilization, to protect the Kurds? Weâve taken very good care of them.
âWeâre bringing our troops back home. I got elected by bringing our troops back home.â
He later added, âIâm trying to get out of wars, we may have to get in warsâweâre better prepared than weâve ever been.â
Trump also mentioned Iran and that if need be, we will go after them with everything we have and they âcould be hit like theyâve never been hit before.â
The President also addressed the fact all of this outrage was over a total of 28 troops that had been stationed in Syria (not the 50 or more the Dems and media were reporting).
Trumpâs point was that two dozen troops should really not matter all that much in the overall scheme of things other than keeping our soldiers out of harmâs way for a fight that is not ours to conduct.
Vicious People
After commenting on Syria, Trump went off on how Democrats continue to try to impeach him.
After calling them all vicious people and horrible politicians, Trump stated, âI think these people, itâs terrible what theyâre doingâPelosi, Shifty Schiff, Schumerâthese people are trying to destroy the country. Itâs a very bad thing that theyâre doing.
âThey want to impeach me because itâs the only way theyâre gonna win. Itâs so illegitimate. It cannot be the way our great founders meant this to be.â
He also added, âThe president of the United States should be allowed to run the country not have to focus on this kind of crap–while at the same time, doing a great job on Syria, and Turkey and all of the other things that we’re doing.”
Taking Shots at Obama
The media likes to pretend that anything Donald Trump does is the first time something has happened; that no other president has ever bent or broke rules (which we obviously know is not true).
Trump made some comments about Obama that will surely get Democrats fired up even more.
The President unloaded on Obama over his book and Netflix deals, stating, âIâm sure he didnât even discuss it while he was president, yeah, yeah.â
Expect more of this in the coming days and weeks from Trump, as he has to aggressively fend off the impeachment narrative surrounding the Ukraine call.
Trump will do things to flip the narrative and the news cycle, just as he did this morning with his âlynchingâ tweet.
Democrats will continue to express outrage and conservatives will continue to sit back and shake their heads over the lengths to which Democrats will go to get this man removed from office.
