Calling out Hillary Clinton and the rest of the corrupt officials within the deep state?
It’s all in a day’s work for Trey Gowdy.
Gowdy laid the hammer down on Hillary Clinton and the rest of the Democrats, claiming that Clinton knowingly provided some false information to derail her political rival, President Trump.
Trey Gowdy appeared with Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum, and he noted how the FBI had relied on some rather dubious information from longtime Clinton aide and fixer Sidney Blumenthal.
This information was regarding corroborating the Steele Dossier, which is still largely viewed with skepticism by many legal scholars.
Gowdy told MacCallum that this was terribly “problematic.”
First, Gowdy said that when he was still in the U.S. Congress, he saw a highly classified spreadsheet that detailed the information present in the Steele Dossier.
Next, Gowdy indicated that it was problematic that this spreadsheet was citing newspaper articles.
Finally, Gowdy noted how including Blumenthal in this evidence is a problem for the usually highly respected FBI.
Here’s how we connect the dots:
One of the ways that we start is by looking at Fusion GPS, which is a left-wing organization that was hired by Hillary Clinton in late 2015 as the election of 2016 was gaining steam.
She and her campaign paid the firm millions to fund an anti-Trump vendetta, and the individual tasked with completing the dossier was former British spy Christopher Steele.
Of course, this is where the infamous Steele Dossier came from in the first place.
The plot thickens when you consider former FBI director James Comey used this dossier to secure the FISA warrants used in the Russian investigation to spy on an American citizen.
Just like a snowball rolling down a hill becomes an avalanche, this initial investigation by Comey turned into a two-year-long investigation (read: witch hunt) of Donald Trump by Robert Mueller.
Think about the ramifications here: The Steele Dossier is nothing more than a Clinton Democrat-funded hit piece designed to trigger the Comey-led FBI into this massive Russia collusion (read: hoax) investigation into our current Republican president.
Of course, unlike prior presidents, Donald Trump is a man who hits back, and he and his staff have accused the FBI and the Democrats of relying on this faulty piece of evidence to obtain warrants to spy on the Trump campaign and his administration.
The icing-on-the-cake for Gowdy’s argument would have to be when he noted the FBI did not alert FISA judges to the fact that Steele was also a Clinton operative before they asked for-and were granted-a surveillance warrant on President Trump.
Naturally, this appalling dishonesty is something we have come to expect from Clinton and company.
At the center of all of this is Sidney Blumenthal, a man who has overseen most of Clintonâs affairs for many years.
In a nutshell, Blumenthal was instrumental in keeping this dossier going and keeping these bogus allegations against Trump festering up to the highest level of government.
Indeed, itâs not just right-wing websites that think this dossier is bogus.
Even Robert Muellerâs final report noted that the idea of Trump being enmeshed in a âconspiracy of coordinationâ with Putinâs Russia was nonsensical.
And, now, we have the IG report flat-out calling the process used by the FBI as an abusive and misleading.
So, where does all of this leave us?
Three things should be immediately evident: the Steele Dossier alleged collusion between Trump and Russia, but Mueller and his team were unable to find it; Clinton, Blumenthal, and the rest of her bunch tried to use this dossier to derail a legally elected U.S. President; and this, not anything Trump has done, is one of the worst scandals in our country’s history.
Trump, Gowdy, and everyone who wants to âMake America Great Againâ have been vindicated.
