These People Were Stranded in the Worst Place Possible When the Mountain Began to Crumble [VIDEO]

Stranded

These tourists were stranded in just about the worst place possible when these mountains in India began to crumble. This is one absolute example of Mother Nature in all of her fury.

Our story begins with the picturesque beauty of a mountainside in India. However, that beauty wouldn’t last for very long simply due to the fact that massive boulders would soon start careening down the peaks of the mountain. They plunged down, gaining tremendous speed as they went, and this quickly erupted into a landslide in the Sangla Valley.

India’s Sangla Valley is known for being home to a plethora of natural beauty. Thus, Sangla is usually known for having a whole host of outdoor activities, including such things as camping, nature walks, river rafting, fishing, and yoga retreats. However, unfortunately all of these scenic activities do come with a trade-off. Nature DOES have its limits. There are some dangers even in this paradise that might seem closer to heaven, and in the midst of those mountains, wildlife, trees, and rushing water you might have some situations that will make you think that you are closer to hell instead.

For example, when these boulders came pummeling down, one of them hit a vehicle and it ultimately killed at least nine tourists who were on their way to Chitkul in far northern India.

Under normal circumstances, Chitkul is one of the best places to explore in India. It is a location steeped in history, complete with houses that have the ornate architecture of either wooden plank or slate roofs and a large assortment of Buddhist temples throughout the land.

Unfortunately, these nine tourists would never get to see the wonder that is Chitkal because of this landslide.

Moreover, the rocks also destroyed an iron bridge that was situated over a river in the Batseri region of India. This bridge collapse in matter of seconds, and it led to the road being closed for a long period of time and 50 vehicles being stranded. You can look at the video here:
