The Wet and Wild Beach Videos Keep Showing Us Just How Dumbed Down Our Society Has Become

I was born in 1980, and so I guess that means I’m either a very young Generation X individual or a very old Millennial. I remember laughing hysterically at those Beavis and Butthead cartoons (and I still do when I’m not busy writing, but I digress), and thinking that there was no way that our society could ever become that dumbed down.

I remember Bill Clinton saying that yes, he had done weed, but “he didn’t inhale.” Today, we have someone who is a Democratic running mate who literally slept her way to the top and prosecuted people who did weed and bragged that she was doing it herself in Kamala Harris, but again, I digress.

Getting back to the point here, I remember thinking that we could never get as dumbed down as the characters in that Beavis and Butthead cartoon had done, but I have to say, after watching a snippet of the 2019 version of the Wet and Wild Daytona Beach series, the answer to that question is yes, we’ve made it. Folks, we are now the Catcher in the Rye on steroids. We’ve got Holden Caulfields literally everywhere.

Now, this video just shows a bunch of young college co-eds and twenty-somethings out having a good time. And the very fact that I’m even talking about it evokes memories of the song, “Papa Don’t Preach” from my Madonna days, because haven’t we all done these things to a certain extent in our younger days?

Yes, yes we have. However, it seems that these things are happening much more often. This video is an illustration of that, simply because throughout all of it we get a picture of the decadence that is going on.

Let me use the abortion analogy to illustrate my point. Back in the 1990’s, President Bill Clinton of all people, said that abortion should be “safe, legal, and rare.” Of course, at that time, we thought that he was indeed a very liberal individual.

However, fast forward to today, and there are politicians that actually believe that RIGHT UP TO THE MOMENT OF BIRTH a woman has a right to an abortion! Now, of course, you are probably wondering what this has to do with this video.

Well, part of the reason is illustrated in this video when the two women who are riding piggy back start french kissing each other. What we are seeing here is the desire for “sex without consequences.”

Back in the 90’s, we only knew of three sexual orientations, and a couple of these weren’t even talked about that much: heterosexuality, homosexuality, and bisexuality. Now, it seems that there are at least seven or more.

Another thing that this video illustrates is a little principle called “bread and circuses.” This was a phrase attributed to the eventual downfall of the Roman Empire. In a nutshell, Roman citizens became less interested in their heritage, and more interested in cheap entertainment and getting free wheat so that they could make break.

Does this sound familiar? Well, if it does, it’s simply because we are seeing it play out right in front of our very eyes right here in America! All we care about is being entertained or having a good time, and unfortunately, this is what we are seeing on a grand scale in this video.

  1. I enjoy having a good time but, never losing sight of morality, particularly in public. Yes! I do care about my behavior in public because, it is the way we were raised instead of behaving like wild savages with no scruples.
