While the impeachment hearings were going on live, President Trump was in meeting with the president of Turkey, so he was unable to watch.
Trump apparently stayed up late last night or got up very early to catch up, though, because he sent out a tweet before 6 a.m. this morning with one of his favorite moments of the entire hearing.
A Blank Look
The two rock stars during the hearing for Republicans were Rep. Ratcliffe (R-TX) and Rep. Jordan (R-OH).
Both were well-prepared and were like machine guns when they were hitting the witnesses with questions.
One of the defining moments of the hearing, the one which Trump absolutely loved, was when Ratcliffe asked anyone to tell him âwhere is the impeachable event in that call?â
.@RepRatcliffe: "Are either of you here today to assert there was an impeachable offense in that call? Shout it out."
"Anyone?"

Trump clearly loved that moment, so he sent out an early-morning tweet to celebrate itâŚ
.@RepRatcliffe asked the two âstarâ witnesses, âwhere is the impeachable event in that call?â Both stared straight ahead with a blank look on their face, remained silent, & were unable to answer the question. That would be the end of a case run by normal people! – but not Shifty!

There Never Was Quid Pro Quo
This entire case for impeachment hinges on the idea that Trump requested a quid pro quo from Ukraine to release its military aid.
Did Trump ask the Ukraine president to investigate the Bidens?
Of that, there is little doubt.
Is there a possibility Joe Biden was abusing his power and trying to help his son?
Of this, I have little doubt, although the Dems refuse to admit he did anything wrong.
Did Trump hold up the aid and block a White House meeting and tell President Zelensky these would not happen unless he openly supported an investigation into Biden?
As of today, we have not seen a shred of actual evidence that would say he did.
Instead, what we are getting is hearsay, and nothing more.
The most damning piece of evidence revealed yesterday was an aide telling Taylor that she overheard a phone call between Ambassador Sondland and President Trump at a crowded restaurant.
Now, I donât know about you, but I have a hard time hearing my own phone up against my ear when I am out at a restaurant, let alone clearly hearing what someone is saying on someone elseâs phone.
Uhmmm, if this is what Dems are hanging this impeachment on, there will be a massive red wave taking over the House come January 2021.
