Joe Biden was pushed to the edge and almost break, but even his tempered response has raised a lot of eyebrows.
CBS News reports Ed O’Keefe was peppering Biden with questions when Biden stopped, turned around, then proceeded to put his hands on the reporter as he made his point.
Big Deal or Not?
In this day and age, everything is sensationalized, right?
Point being, candidates need to be super careful about their actions for fear of how they are interpreted.
I will be the first to admit that what Joe Biden did, in a normal world, would be no big deal.
However, we are no longer in a normal world and Joe Biden is clearly getting frustrated with having to answer very specific questions about his campaign and his son.
Keep all that in mind as you watch the interaction between Joe Biden and O’Keefe.
The lead in to this is that a Sanders surrogate wrote a scathing op-ed about Biden, claiming he had a corruption problem, and Biden demanded Sanders apologize for the allegations.
Sanders did apologize for the corruption angle but refused to walk back any allegations regarding Joe Biden’s record.
O’Keefe wanted to get Biden’s comments on the issue, and asked him, “Yesterday, you said you accepted Bernie’s apology, now you’re attacking him. Why are you doing that?
“Why wasn’t this apology enough, Mr. Vice President? Why attack Sanders?”
Here is the exchange…

The points of focus are Biden’s face when he turned around, as he was clearly agitated.
The second point everyone is focusing on is when Biden hit O’Keefe in the chest with a closed fist.
By the look on O’Keefe’s face, he was not exactly comfortable with the exchange.
Then, when the video of the exchange went viral, yes, there were some accusing Joe Biden of assaulting O’Keefe.
Now, calling that an assault would be a bit extreme, but I just want you to think of how the headlines would be reading right now had Trump reacted in the very same manner.
We all know CBS would have run with “Reporter punched by President,” and every other outlet would be portraying Trump as a madman.
Biden is clearly starting to break under the pressure and what we need to do is continue to apply this pressure.
Just as O’Keefe did here, hammer him with questions about his corruption and his son at Town Halls until we can get him to lose it in public.
He does that just once and his campaign is O-V-E-R.
