An SUV full of children, driven by a 14 year old, led police on a high speed chase in a Stolen vehicle near Jemison, Alabama.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers began chasing a stolen 2008 Ford Expedition on Interstate 65 near Jemison. The vehicle refused to stop.
The chase continued for some time, and ended in Prattville, Alabama, when the stolen Ford crashed into several other vehicles.
Prattville police officers were able to assist the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers by putting down spike strips that deflated the vehicle’s tires, leading to the SUV crashing into two other vehicles at an intersection.
According to information provided to the media by Trooper Sgt. Jeremy Burkett, the Ford was occupied by an 11 year old, a 12 year old, two 13 year olds, and a 14 year old, along with the driver, who was also 14 years old.
The driver is now facing charges of first degree receiving stolen property, first degree assault, speeding, attempting to elude, and reckless endangerment.
Due to the fact that all of the individuals involved in the car chase were minors, their identities were not released.
Alabama Live reports:
“Some of the juveniles in Tuesday’s chase, officials said, were the same juveniles involved in the October vandalism of St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church in Somerville. Authorities said the church sustained ‘thousands of dollars of damage.’

Morgan County Sheriff Ron Puckett said one 11-year-old girl, one 13-year-old girl, and two 14-year-old boys were identified as being responsible for the vandalism and faced burglary and criminal mischief charges.”
