Just hours ago, the Supreme Court handed down a ruling that is going to put the entire firearms industry at risk.

In an absolutely stunning decision, the Supreme Court ruled families of the Sandy Hook shooting can proceed with their lawsuits against Remington Arms.

The Sandy Hook Shooting

The shooting that took place at Sandy Hook was absolutely horrific.

Adam Lanza, who was 20 years old, shot and killed more than two dozen people, including 20 children.

Prior to leaving for the attack, Lanza killed his mother at their home.

As police closed in on Lanza, he turned his weapon on himself and committed suicide.

The shooting remains one of the top five deadliest mass shootings in the history of the country.

To carry out the attack, Lanza used an AR-15 that was purchased legally by his mother.

The Lawsuit

The lawsuit that was brought by the families of the victims stated the gun manufacturer had no right selling this type of weapon to the public as well as its marketing practices.

In March 2019, the Connecticut State Supreme Court ruled 4-3 that the families could sue the gun manufacturer specifically due to its marketing practices, including placement in video games.

Remington then took the case to the Supreme Court citing that the state laws could not be used because the federal law protected the manufacture from any liability.

Remington stated that the marketing exemption being used by the state court is “intolerable given Congress’s intention to create national uniformity” with the federal law (Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act).

They further stated, “As the dissenters below noted, lawsuits like this one are precisely the kind of PLCAA was enacted to prevent.”

Georgia State University College of Law professor Timothy D. Lytton was cited by Remington in its argument, stating, “The decision will have immediate and severe consequences, exposing the firearms industry to costly and burdensome litigation.”

Remington continued, “Thus, as a leading scholar on firearm-manufacturer liability has explained, the decision below will ‘unleash a flood of lawsuits across the country.'”

Now that the families can proceed, the case will be held in a lower court.

IF the families are successful in their lawsuit, expect a flood of suits to come pouring in from other victims of mass shootings.

This could literally break the gun industry forever in terms of selling arms to the general public.

It is the ideal outcome for liberals because they will get gun control without actually having to put laws in place.

It may literally come to the point where it is simply far too risky and costly for manufacturers to sell guns to the general public out of fear of being sued for any crime or murder that is committed by someone using their weapon.

  1. As long as it is FOR the establishment of a nwo for the United States, getting rid of OUR CONSTITUTION, it is fine and dandy !! Too bad the nwo is not going to fly. The Dark Side may win a few battles, but those of the light side will ultimately win out. Those of the Dark Side, godless democrats, have made their bed and are eventually going to have to lay in it, much to their chagrin.
