Democrats had the Senate floor for three full days, usually lying and twisting information to suit their narrative.
On Saturday, Trump’s defense team got its first crack, and according to Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), his team knocked it out of the park.
Shredding the Case
Ernst did not believe Trump’s team cast doubt but rather that they completely shredded the case the Dems laid out during three long days of opening arguments.
Ernst stated, “I thought today was an incredible two hours, and within two hours, I thought that the White House counsel and their team entirely shredded the case that has been presented by the House managers.
“What we heard today was very concise; it was full of truths and facts, as presented by the House managers’ own witnesses.
“It was not filled with half-truths and personal stories.”

Fact Vs. Fiction
If Dems continue down the path they are traveling, they may never win another election.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) got things started with an opening that mostly rehashed Russian conspiracy theories that were debunked in the Mueller investigation.
When he was not doing that, he was misrepresenting information in documentation he presented knowing full well what he was saying was, without a doubt, a lie.
For instance, he referenced a Mr. Z in some message, acting as though the identity of that individual was President Zelensky of Ukraine.
The fact, though, is that individual had been identified as the founder of Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky.
Ernst touched on this, stating, “What we saw today was factual, relevant to what is going on in the Senate, and it points out that there have been a lot of half-truths promulgated by the House managers and absolutely pushed by the media as well.”
Dems may have gotten a little fuel for their fire with details of John Bolton’s book being leaked, but those details have already been rebuked by the White House.
It is also no coincidence these details were conveniently leaked just as Bolton’s book went up for pre-sale.
Honestly, it is hard for Americans to know who to trust, because both sides are corrupt, but Schiff and company are not helping their case at all by pushing blatantly false information knowing full well the facts are very easy to prove they are just flat-out lying in their never-ending quest to correct the 2016 presidential election.
