Another California Democrat is on the attack against Trump.
Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) is now demanding Trump cancel his rallies to prevent putting his supporters at risk.
More Politicizing the Coronavirus
The conduct by Dems is getting worse by the day.
While not making the same demands of her Democrat counterparts, Speier is demanding that Trump stop holding rallies.
According to Speier, he is putting “his most ardent supporters at risk” by continuing to hold rallies.
She stated, “I don’t think the president is capable of telling us the truth about the coronavirus. And I regret saying that.
“I think we have to rely on the scientists who are attempting to tell the truth even when they have to contradict the president.
“The fact that he is not willing to cancel his various rallies suggests that he is willing to place even his most ardent supporters at risk because we’re supposed to stay six feet away from other persons in order to mitigate the exchange of those viruses.
“I think that he is showing, unfortunately, why he is so ill-prepared to guide our country during this time of the crisis.”
First and foremost, as long as people how are symptomatic are staying home, this is not even an issue.
Furthermore, where is the consistency in her demand?
Will the NCAA be playing March Madness games in empty arenas?
Have the NHL and NBA stopped allowing fans in to see the games?
Are Sanders and Biden canceling all of their events? Considering the fact both of them had events last night, I would have to say the answer to that question and the previous two are all no.
Fearmongering… that is what Democrats are doing right now.
Every couple of years some new virus comes along and every two years, it gets dealt with.
By no means am I trying to downplay the seriousness of the coronavirus, but we simply cannot have our politicians singling out Trump for putting people at risk because of his rallies when we have arenas with just as many or more people in dozens of cities happening every night with sporting events.
So far, Trump has stated that he will not be canceling any rallies due to the coronavirus.
