A Port of Seattle police officer, whose Instagram post against the tyranny from the Coronavirus response, now faces a massive backlash. Officer Greg Anderson, a Special Forces veteran, posted his concerns to colleagues on Instagram last week. He decried the tyranny that is being enforced on the citizens.

Anderson said, “I’ve seen officers nationwide enforcing tyrannical orders against the people and I’m hoping it’s the minority of officers, but I’m not sure anymore.”

He added, “Because every time I turn on the television, every time I look to the internet, I’m seeing people arrested or cited for going to church, for traveling on the roadways, for going surfing, opening their businesses, going to park with their families, or doing nails out of their own house—using their own house as a business and having special agents go there and arrest them.”

Because of his post, Anderson now contends with his own personal government tyranny. The Port of Seattle Police Department has placed the officer on paid administrative leave pending an investigation. Port of Seattle Police Department Chief Rod Covey issued a statement about Anderson’s suspension.

Covey justified the suspension by saying, “Greg has always had the ability to express his opinions on what is going on in the country like all other Americans.  However, he is not allowed to do so while on duty, wearing our uniform, wearing our badge and while driving our patrol car.”

Anderson’s predicament has gone viral. A GoFundMe account was set up for Anderson, who has three children. Nearly, $350,000 dollars has been raised for Anderson and his family.

Coronavirus Panic Tyranny

In the last month, patriotic Americans have used their 1st Amendment right by protesting against tyranny from Democratic governors in their attempt to lock down the citizens and close businesses deemed ‘unessential.’ Whereas Republican governors are attempting to reopen their states, Democratic governors continue to hold a strong fist, such as Governor Kate Brown who has locked down Oregon until July 6.

These state lockdowns have had a trickle-down effect on law enforcement. In many instances, police officers have trampled on the rights of American citizens. In April, a Colorado man, who was attending an ‘Open Up Colorado’ rally at the state capital, was arrested for carrying firearms despite actually carrying his concealed carry permit.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s tyranny has been on full display since the Coronavirus pandemic began. The Wall Street Journal reported that New York City Police have arrested over one hundred citizens for crimes related to Coronavirus, including crimes of social distancing. Last week, a furor erupted over a possible instance of police brutality on the streets of New York.

Officer Anderson’s suspension is misguided and a result of state tyranny filtering down to local law enforcement. As some states continue their draconian ‘stay-at-home’ orders and disallowing ‘nonessential’ businesses from opening, expect Anderson’s rant on Instagram to hold true.

  1. Thank G-d for the honest police officers who defend our rights during is situation. This country is great because of fine police officer such as Officer Anderson and others like him.
The same politicians who are having people arrested for living their lives are the same ones who release criminals and don’t want to arrest shoplifters and other criminals.
I hope that people remember who the tyrants are and vote them out of office

  2. It’s called making their quota on arrests . That’s how they get their insurance coverage . It’s really just legalized extortion that we have no say on .
