Newly released transcripts from FIB interviews do not paint a very good picture for the future of Andrew McCabe.

For years now, Americans have wanted to know who leaked classified information and reports to the media.

We knew Comey had leaked memos, but now we are finding out McCabe also leaked significant information to the media.

Frustrating Agents

The transcripts were released as part of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit that had been filed by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

The documents show how frustrated FBI investigators were with McCabe.

They also show that while the Inspector General report stated McCabe had “lacked candor” during his interviews, we now know he blatantly misled them during this process.

That is what we like to call lying to federal authorities, something which usually lands you in jail.

One investigator blasted McCabe, openly telling him that his untruthful answers led to a significant waste of time and assets.

The agent stated, “I remember saying to him, ‘Sir, you understand that we’ve put a lot of work into this based on what you told us.’

“I mean, and I even said, long nights and weekends working on this trying to find out who amongst your ranks of trusted people would, would do something like that.

“And [Mr. McCabe] kind of just looked down, kind of nodded and said, ‘Yeah, I’m sorry.’”

Lock Him Up

McCabe was terminated based on the results of the IG report, and Trump took considerable heat for doing so.

Some elected officials stated that McCabe should have been able to stay in office for the few remaining days he needed to secure his pension, but Trump fired him anyway.

Now we all know this was the right move and that McCabe deserves much worse.

The U.S. Attorney in D.C. has been mulling over the decision as to whether or not he should file criminal charges against McCabe, so these transcripts should make that a no brainer.

McCabe has filed a wrongful termination suit, something else that should be dismissed due to the information revealed in these transcripts.

Our Justice Department has a perfect opportunity here to prove that nobody is above the law and that it will stop protecting corrupt government officials.

If Barr and company do not bring charges against McCabe, they will have just as much to explain as McCabe himself.
