New York City to Set 125,000 Criminals Free… But It Gets MUCH Worse

Bill De Blasio

The measures to which Democrats will go to land votes never ceases to amaze me.

What they are doing in New York, however, could be a first.

For some reason, the powers that be in New York have decided that releasing 125,000 accused criminals back onto the streets is going to be good for the city.

You Are Free to Leave

New York City is one of many liberal cities in the midst of creating its own criminal reform legislation.

Rather than get its processing system straightened out, New York City decided to go a different route.

Now, supposedly ā€œnon-violentā€ accused criminals will no longer be placed in jail to await their trial, nor will they have to post any sort of bail.

The list of crimes that New York City deems to be non-violent will probably shock you:

  • Second-degree manslaughter
  • Aggravated vehicular assault
  • Third-degree assault
  • Promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child
  • Possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child
  • Promoting a sexual performance by a child
  • Failure to register as a sex offender
  • Making terroristic threats
  • Criminally negligent homicide
  • Aggravated vehicular homicide

So, according to the new legislation, someone could be arrested and charged with being a pedophile or negligent homicide and they would now be back out on the streets on the same day they were taken into custody.

But It Gets MUCH Worse

So, not only are these people going to be set free, but New Yorkers are also going to have to pay for their housing and job training.

Thatā€™s right, the new program will use taxpayer dollars to subsidize housing as well as job training programs put in place for these thugs.

Last year, more than 100,000 criminals were released by New York City judges and under the new legislation, Mayor de Blasio and company will surely be eclipsing that mark.

To add insult to injury, Mayor de Blasio is also using incentives to get these thugs to court on time.

According to reports, de Blasio is offering ā€œgiftsā€ such as Mets tickets and movie passes for those that come to court when their date is scheduled.

I guess crime does pay after all.
