New CNN Poll on Impeachment Stuns Liberal Hosts

Impeachment Panel

Liberal pundits went from happy to depressed this week when they were confronted with the fact the impeachment effort is failing to sway Americans.

When CNN revealed its own poll showing less support than ever for removing Trump from office, the liberal panel members just about had a cardiac on live TV.

The Poll

When the impeachment process first started, there was roughly 50 percent of the country wanting to have Trump removed from office.

Today, that number is down to 45 percent, with a firm 47 percent saying he should not be removed.

What is even more astonishing about the poll is that a large reason the swing is taking place is that Democrats are not buying it anymore.

As recently as November, 90 percent of Democrats wanted Trump removed by impeachment.

In the new poll, that number was down to 77 percent.

Independents also went down, from 47 to 45 percent, and Republican support for the impeachment dipped even lower, going from 10 to five percent.

It’s Wrong Because I Said It’s Wrong

As the poll numbers were being discussed, one of the panel members was in clear disbelief.

Regarding the Democrat dip, he stated, “I don’t believe it.

“It makes no sense that that number would change like that.”

After the poll results were explained, the same panel member stated, “That poll is wrong.

“Just because I said so, OK?”

The poll is not wrong, though, because the downward trend in that poll has been seen in virtually every other poll out there right now.

Americans are either losing interest in the impeachment or simply do not buy into the narrative Democrats are pitching.

Unfortunately, though, Democrats pushed all-in and now they have no choice but to push this forward as much as possible just to save face.

Pelosi delaying the sending of the articles to the Senate is just another trick they are using to try to get public support, but it won’t work.

At this point, unless Trump makes a monumental error, the impeachment has actually helped rather than hurt his chances of being re-elected.
