Millie Weaver and Shadow Net…The Rabbit Hole is Deep

Filmmaker of the new documentary 'Shadow Gate', Millie Weaver, speaks from jail

Millie Weaver, a conservative filmmaker, was arrested just hours before her documentary, ‘Shadow Gate’, was set to premiere. In her film, she claims that she has uncovered a plot orchestrated by both the establishment Democrats and Republicans against President Trump.

The Charges

Weaver and her husband were arrested for domestic violence and robbery, connected with a dispute they had with Weaver’s mother, Felicia McCarron, in April. McCarron told deputies that Weaver, her husband Gavin Wince, and Weaver’s brother Charles had thrown her to the ground in an attempt to take her cell phone from her. She claimed that they had been “mean” to her, and they had tried to take the phone from her when she attempted to record their behavior.

Weaver has previously described her mother as “mentally ill and not reliable”. The police have reported that Weaver and her husband have been charged with three felonies: 2nd degree robbery, 3rd degree tampering with evidence, and obstructing justice, and one misdemeanor: 1st degree domestic violence.

Weaver insists that the police do not have any evidence against her, because she did not do anything.

Call from Jail

Millie Weaver received a call from Tore, from the website ToreSays, while in jail. Her call from jail begins with the disgusting conditions in which she is being held.

“It’s freezing cold all night. The towels they give you are like sweaty, nasty, dirty towels. It stinks, they don’t smell like they’ve been washed. The bed-sheets are full of stains and full of other girls’ hair, like they don’t even wash the sheets or anything,” Weaver says.

She goes on to say that they refused to give her soap and other hygiene products, and that she was forced to sit on the floor with four other women.

Tore tells Weaver that Wince has been banned from having phone calls. She also mentions that CPS has been called for Weaver’s children, to which Weaver says that the CPS order was signed August 15th, 2020. Tore says that the CPS hearing is conveniently scheduled before the arraignment.

According to the woman, Weaver’s husband was allegedly denied calls from the jail because he showed documents to the liaison for the couples lawyers on a video call, which revealed the date of the CPS hearing to remove the children from the couples’ home.

Millie Weaver believes that the police are retaliating against her because Wince complained about their treatment by the police, and because Weaver filmed them the first time they showed up at her family home, capturing their names and badges on camera. “When they were doing the interrogation, I videotaped and they threatened to shoot me with guns,” Weaver said.

‘Shadow Gate’

In the call, Weaver and Tore discussed the more than 1.3 million views that the ‘Shadow Gate’ documentary received on Tore’s YouTube channel since being uploaded on the day of the arrest. The film has also been uploaded on dozens of other platforms. Weaver says that she has received an outpouring of support from other conservatives, and other people in the film industry.

According to Tore, the date of the original indictments for the arrest of Weaver and Wince was July 20th, 2020, which was also the original date of the film’s premiere. There were technical difficulties that delayed the release of the film.
