A video captured on an American Airlines flight shows a mile high fist fight that broke out between passengers.
On a flight from New Orleans to Austin, a mile high fist fight broke out began “over a seat that couldn’t unrecline,” according to a passenger.
Video of the incident shows three men brawling as other passengers and members of the crew tried desperately to stop the fight.
“Do not hit me!” one woman is heard yelling in the clip.
After it appeared that the brawlers were separated and the fight was over, one of the men — who was wearing a red striped shirt — charged at the man in the beige shirt and started punching him again. The men were then separated once again as one passenger can be heard screaming “Stop! Stop!”
The video also shows a woman in a black top attempting to pull the fighters apart unsuccessfully while other men just sit and watch.

The mile high fight took place on August 1, and video of the incident was sent to news outlet KXAN by another passenger.
The three passengers involved in the fight were detained shortly after the incident when the flight landed at approximately 4:30 p.m. to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, but police in Austin, Texas said that they did not arrest anyone.
A statement from American Airlines confirmed that “law enforcement were requested” after the plane landed in Austin “due to an altercation between passengers.”
No other information on the incident was provided in the statement.
