Being her ever righteous self, Michelle Obama told Melania when she needed help fulfilling her roles as First Lady, she could reach out to her anytime for the proper guidance.
When Melania Trump decided not to pick up the phone, Michelle Obama tried to shame her by telling the world our First Lady ghosted her in Michelle’s memoir.
Need Some Help?
It is customary for outgoing administrations to offer an ear if need be during the transitional phases.
How many people reach out, nobody really knows, because this information usually never makes it to the press unless the party asking for help divulges that fact.
This time, though, Michelle Obama used the fact that Melania has not reached out to her as a way of shaming our current First Lady.
Not only did Michelle Obama write about it in her new book, while doing interviews for the book, she discussed it further with the media, making it national headlines.
No Thanks!
Melania and her office did not take the news of the ghosting being made public very well.
They decided to fight fire with fire and responded in kind to the statements from Michelle.
Then-spokesperson for Melania Trump, Stephanie Grisham, who now serves as the Press Secretary for the White House, fired back a rather stern response.
Grisham stated, “Mrs. Trump is a strong and independent woman who has been navigating her role as First Lady in her own way.
“When she needs advice on any issue, she seeks it from her professional team within the White House.”
That, my friends, is what we like to refer to as a mic drop.
