Nancy Pelosi has a willing and able partner in crime in Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).

After Schumer sent a letter, held press conferences, and used up his minutes on the floor whining about his witness list, Senate Majority Leader McConnell (R-KY) told him they are at an “impasse.”

Chuck’s Letter

Chucky has been hanging on to the notion that he gets to set the rules during an impeachment hearing when his party is not the majority.

After Democrats literally rigged the House hearing so Republicans could not call witnesses they wanted, he had the audacity to submit a witness list to McConnell for the Senate trial.

When a watchdog agency won a Freedom of Information case to have emails released. Schumer then hung onto a line from one email to act as though something nefarious happened from June to July regarding Ukraine.

What he failed to mention was an email chain about a month prior that offered all the details Trump wanted to know about before he would okay the aid payment to Ukraine.

Now Schumer wants to have these documents in their unredacted form submitted for the Senate trial.

Sorry Chuck

McConnell had a meeting scheduled after the House impeachment vote to discuss the trial, but Pelosi never sent over the articles of impeachment.

Until that happens, as far as McConnell is concerned, there is nothing else to talk about.

McConnell recently stated, “We’re at an impasse, we can’t do anything until the speaker sends the papers over.

“So everybody, enjoy the holidays.”

Trump also chimed in, expressing his displeasure with Pelosi.

The President stated, “Pelosi gives us the most unfair trial in the history of the U.S. Congress, and now she is crying for fairness in the Senate, and breaking all rules while doing so.

“She lost Congress once, she will do it again!”

The funny thing in all of this is that Trump has already stated that he wants a Senate trial.

Trump wants to do this so Democrats have no excuses to offer when the charges get dropped and he eventually gets acquitted.

Honestly, that was also my hope, but it would not upset me if McConnell took it right to a vote specifically to stick it to Schemer, Pelosi, and the rest of the liberal horde who continue to carry out this witch hunt.

Since today’s political arena is clearly revenge politics, perhaps it is time the Democrats get to taste their own medicine. If they are going to act like petulant children, let’s treat them as such.
