Liberal YouTube “influencer” Jake Paul is in a world of sh*t. He was arrested at the scene of millions of dollars worth of damage and destruction recently. Now the FBI in Phoenix has confirmed that last week’s raid on Paul’s home in Calabasas, California was definitely a part of their ongoing investigation into the “criminal acts surrounding the incident at Scottsdale Fashion Square in May, 2020.” Federal officials aren’t divulging any details but there’s lots of speculation that the reason Paul happened to be in the middle of the riot was because perhaps he helped to organize it.
In the middle of damage estimated in the millions
When Black Lives Matter anarchists descended on the uber-chic Fashion Square Mall, in Scottsdale, Arizona, it was obvious that this wasn’t the typical case of pent up urban rage. Inner city minorities vent their anger on the dollar stores they buy their groceries in. These looters were imported. There aren’t many “underprivileged” people wandering around to damage Scottsdale, where “the historic downtown is a mecca for world-class shopping and dining.”
Peaceful protesters managed to do “millions of dollars worth” of damage during a single night by picking just the right place to go looting. That was probably not an accident. Jake Paul was conveniently there to report on it for his podcast. The 23-year-old YouTube sensation created a video, then took it back down, Fox reports. Paul wanted to “set the record straight” after the FBI raided his house.
“Just to clarify things and set the record straight, the FBI raid is entirely related to the Arizona looting situation that had happened.” The FBI agrees that its all about the looting and the damage. That’s where they start to have differences of opinion though. “It’s an investigation. There are rumors about it having to do with so many other things that have nothing to do with me or my character and the s–t that people are making up is absolutely absurd.”
These crazy times
The damage is real. His involvement is in question. Paul told his fans on the video that his “goal right now is to continue to focus on myself, boxing, music.” He also wants to say “thank you to all the fans who have been sticking by my side through all of these crazy times.” There was no explanation for why the FBI brought a SWAT team along. Nobody was there and nobody arrested. Whatever the feds were fishing for, they cast a wide net.
“The FBI is investigating allegations of criminal acts surrounding the incident at Scottsdale Fashion Square in May 2020. This morning the FBI executed federal search warrants in California and Las Vegas, Nevada in connection with this investigation. The search warrant affidavits are sealed and we are, therefore, prohibited from commenting further.” Somebody was responsible for planning all that damage and the FBI is determined to find them.
Paul’s lawyer issued a statement noting, “we understand that a search warrant was executed at Jake’s Calabasas home this morning while Jake was out-of-state,” Richard Schonfeld said in an email. “We are still gathering information and will cooperate with the investigation.” Paul was “allegedly involved” in the riot and “charged with criminal trespass and unlawful assembly after he allegedly joined a group of looters” to cause destruction and damage at the upscale mall. Scottsdale PD announced that they’re dropping those minor charges so that the feds can process much more serious ones.
Paul swears up and down “to be absolutely clear, neither I nor anyone in our group was engaged in any looting or vandalism. For context, we spent the day doing our part to peacefully protest one of the most horrific injustices our country has ever seen, which led to us being tear-gassed for filming the events and brutality that were unfolding in Arizona.” How did they know what damage was planned for when to be on hand to film it? Footage like that is guaranteed to get clicks, it wouldn’t surprise people to learn that he planned it.
