All this consists of would be your garden variety, everyday prison escape scene where a corrupt senate is leaving the prison walls with the assistance of her mega famous daughter. This is nothing more than just another day in Colombia. The whole nine yards, and we will be laughing the whole way.
Apparently, an Instagram model broke her mother out of jail using nothing more than a hidden rope and a getaway bike after she distracted the security guard. Of course, after you take a few more looks at her, you will see why it was so easy for her to distract the security guards, but I digress. This influencer was named Aida Victoria Merlano, and she is a 21-year-old Colombian who managed to make the daring plan to get her mother out of prison.
In the trial this week, prosecutors described how the 21-year-old had helped her mother, former politician Aida Merlano Rebolledo, break out of a Bogota prison by climbing out of a third-story window and using a rope to lower her to the ground, as reported by the Sun.
Disgraced Senator Aida Merlano Rebolledo was sitting in prison under a 15-year prison sentence because she had an illegal cache of weapons, corruption, and voter fraud during her latest election. This disgraced former politician managed to arrange a dentist appointment where she was able to break out of prison and then she schemed her breakout from there. It took the help of her daughter, the dentist, and a getaway driver, but she was able to actually get away for a brief period of time. However, the masterminds did forget to take care of the nearby security cameras due to the fact that this happened in broad daylight.
Wouldn’t it be nuts to just happen to be one of those random people who saw a woman drop from a three-story window seemingly out of nowhere? What would you be able to do but freeze and stare as this person hops on the back of a motorcycle and rushes away?
The politician’s daughter was Aida Victoria Merlano, and she allegedly aided her mom with this grand escape. Who else wouldn’t have done the same thing for their mother if they were in her shoes? This daughter seems really nice, to say the least!

Well, it was only a matter of time before everyone was caught, and now the mom is back in jail where she belongs. Of course, the daughter and the dentist are now in jail for aiding in the escape. They too are facing some serious jail time. Apparently, the daughter was at the dentist’s office that day and that is when she provided her mom with the tools to escape along with a cellphone. The dentist left the mom alone in the room, and that moron that passed for a security guard waited outside, totally oblivious to any funny business that might be occurring in the very next room. To say this guard was a complete and utter moron would be an understatement.
It took four months after the escape for the daughter to be brought up on charges. She has remained free on bail for over a year while they await the trail to occur, and in that time she has managed to explode on Instagram as you can see with well over 2.5 million followers. Yeah, she might be a criminal just like her mother, but you have to give her credit for seizing the moment and striking the iron while it’s hot. Apparently, the guilt of her crime and the fear of prison has not deterred her from influencing the world. If you want to talk about guts, look no further than this gal right here. She might be a supermodel, but there’s no question she’s got some balls.
