When a United Kingdom jury convicted 22-year-old Daniel Davey, they sentenced him to 78 months in prison for the terrible molestation of a boy who was just five years old. However, once the other inmates learned about Davey’s crimes, he did not do well in the big house.
Although he began his sentence on December 1, he did not make it very long in prison after his conviction of six counts of molesting this young boy. Let’s just cut to the chase here: ultimately, Daniel Davey was most likely meted out a version of street justice that ended up with him being found dead in his cell.
Davey had worked in a UK McDonald’s before he was sentenced for his crime, and he definitely didn’t last long in prison. He sexually abused his victim on six different occasions in 2015 and 2016 when he was between five and six years old.
Naturally, since this convicted sexual abuser was found dead in his cell, his case was referred to the Ministry of Justice and the death was going to go through a thorough investigation by the Prison Ombudsman office.
They also made an inquest into his death just last week, and they ultimately adjourned the case for a future date that they have not determined as of yet.
They found Mr. Davey in HMP Bullingdon, which is a resettlement prison that houses just over 1,100 adult or juvenile prisoners, according to the Daily Mail.
Davey was living and working in Chippenham when he abused this child victim. Naturally, he told the little boy that the molestation that their “special secret”, but the boy was brave and told his mother that Davey had done “something dirty” to him, and that is when this child’s mother learned that young son had been victimized in this horrible manner. Moreover, the boy was brave enough to testify in court about this, and so the jury got to hear all of the details. Needless to say, even by the U.K.’s progressive manner of criminal justice, they did not show that much leniency to Davey.
After the victim’s mother had learned what Davey had done to her son, she immediately called the police. Ultimately, at the end of the investigation, they found Davey’s DNA in the young boy’s underwear.
If that hadn’t been bad enough for Davey, there was another witness that testified at trial against him. They said that they had seen an image in his possession that showed a 13-year-old boy being molested by a much older man, according to the Daily Mail.
Although Davey was confronted about this terrible image, this child molester simply just laughed it off as being something that had been sent to him as just a joke. Unfortunately, the police were not able to find this image and use it for evidence because the cell phone and the computer had been disposed of by this molester before he was charged.
Of course, Davey denied everything in court. However, credit the jury because they didn’t believe his lies. Instead, they found him guilty, sentencing him to this long prison term.
