Is Hillary Clinton going to run?
That is the question of the day right now, every day, because the common belief from most Democrats is that the current slate of candidates does not have a chance to beat Trump in a general election.
Lots of Pressure
If you want to know how unsure Democrats are about this election, just listen to what Hillary has to say on running…
“I feel a sense of responsibility partly because you know my name was on the ballot, I got more votes, but ended up losing to the current incumbent in the White House who I think is really undermining our democracy in very fundamental ways. And I want to retire him.”
“I, as I say never, never, never say never. I will certainly tell you. I’m under enormous pressure from many, many, many people to think about it.”
Still Delusional
There are three things that are rather amusing and/or alarming, depending upon your point of view, about what Hillary had to say.
The first is that Hillary is still insisting that she won the election.
Does anyone in this country that respects our Constitution really want a president that completely disrespects the electoral college?
She also talks about Trump undermining our “democracy,” but is it actually Democrats that are literally inventing laws and breaking standard rules to undermine and unseat Trump.
Finally, the fact that at this stage, people in the Democrat Party are actually looking to Hillary as a last-ditch effort to beat Trump in this election is pretty amazing.
Polls have shown the public simply wants her to go away, yet this is the person they are now looking to in order to beat Trump?
Hillary says she has no plans to run right now, but you better believe if a Biden scandal takes him out of the race, Hillary will undoubtedly enter this race… and lose again.
Hillary lost to Trump, and has been whining about that ever since. The American people do not need, nor want, a wrinkly whiner in office who blames others for her problems
Well run again dog face Hillary. Only thing you want be able to say you won because Trump will win the overall vote to shut your sorry ass down for good.
While a paraphrase of Hillary saying ” … Trump undermining our ‘democracy'” — one must understand that we do NOT have a democracy. The Constitution clearly stayed away from a democracy, and created a “republic.”
Maybe those running for office should take a course in the American Constitution before they run for office.
There is a lot of difference between the two, and the framers of our nation, which has grown for 243 under the Constitution, were careful to stay away from creating a “democracy” and rather to create a “republic.”yjd 6,
It is irritating when the current educational system is in the arms of the socialist democrat communists’. I don’t think we will see a change until we take back our schools. I won’t hold my breath!
Liberals and even some well meaning conservatives constantly refer to the U.S. as a Democracy and this is fundamentally flawed thinking. They use the term Democracy when what they actually mean is Parliamentary Democracy. They think we live in a Parliamentary Democracy under assault from Trump when in actuality it is the Parliamentary Democracy assaulting this Constitutional Republic. A Parliamentary Democracy is very close to being a “Mobocracy” and Democracies ALWAYS fail (See James Madison). The reason is the general populace vastly outnumber the well-to-do and are a threat to them. That’s why the Founders came up with the idea of a Constitution.
Please God, Spare us from another round of this America-hating harpy!! No doubt Soros will have his checkbook open to try to buy our final destruction as a nation. Who would this cow’s running mate be…Tom Steyer? THAT’S a ticket that would have me leaving America forever!! Soros the ‘honorary Nazi’ would finally realize his wet dream!!
