It’s a sad day when only six Republicans in the realm of politics stand up for what’s right and reject Democrats’ disgusting bill.

Republicans with Some Sense

The majority of Senate and House Republicans joined forces with Democrats to pass a huge spending bill that gives millions to ridiculous programs in foreign countries.

In this COVID relief bill, Americans would only receive a measly $600 while countries like Pakistan would get tons of many for gender programs.

Unfortunately, only six Republicans in the U.S. Senate had the wherewithal to vote against the radical spending package.

Every swampy Republican lawmaker deserves to be removed from office or at least never be reelected.

The Patriotic Six

The six sensible rightwing members are:

  • Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee
  • Rand Paul of Kentucky
  • Rick Scott of Florida
  • Ron Johnson of Wisconsin
  • Mike Lee of Utah
  • Ted Cruz of Texas

One of the fiercest leaders in the GOP is Sen. Marsha Blackburn.

“I cannot support nearly $2.4 trillion in spending that will make recovery even harder,” she said in a statement. “I have serious concerns with provisions buried in the 5,593-page bill, such as expanded visas, Pell grants for prisoners, and households with illegal aliens receiving economic impact payments. For these reasons, I voted no on passage of this legislation.”

Sen. Ted Cruz also hit back hard.

“Had this bill been solely focused on re-opening the economy, getting Americans back to work, and jump-starting a recovery, it would have had my enthusiastic support,” Cruz said in a statement overnight.

Tricky Dems Think They Won

The lawmakers were only given a few hours to read through the huge legislation before it was to be voted on. This means it was impossible for anyone to fully read through the bill before voting for it.

It doesn’t seem like good practice to vote yes on something you have not read and know very little about.

Hats off to the six Senate Republicans who voted no on a bill that is beyond insane.
