Kidnapped trucker survives attack

Miami police are hunting a group of killers after two truck drivers turned up dead in Opa-Locka. Masked gunmen kidnapped Osmar Olivia, 50, who owned the Olivia Delivery Corporation, Johan Gonzalez Quesada, 26, and a third man.

The three were tied up and stuffed into the back of a moving van where they were beaten and tortured for hours. Finally, the masked men shot them all in the head and dumped their bodies in a nearby yard.

The third victim miraculously survived the attack. He managed to stumble away from the scene and flag down a passing car. The motorist then called police. The man, who has not been named out of fear for his safety, is currently in the hospital in critical condition.

Gonzalez Quesada was only 26-years-old. He was the father of a 1-year-old daughter and another baby that was born less than two weeks ago. “He was a marvelous person,” Gonzalez Quesada’s father, Ovidio Gonzalez Roche, told reporters. “This is such an extraordinary shock. I can’ t explain what’s happened.”

Miami men tortured and executed

Oliva’s crying widow told reporters, “He was a very good person. I don’t know why this happened to him.” Miami-Dade homicide detectives are asking the public for help. A reward of $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.

The slain men had criminal records. Oliva was arrested in 2007 after officers said he was one of three men found unloading cargo off a stolen tractor trailer that had been located using a GPS device.

Last year, Gonzalez Quesada was accused of having two loads of stolen cargo, frozen shrimp and air-conditioning units, that had been traced via GPS on stolen tractor trailers.

An arrest report said the cargo was discovered at his home. Perhaps these gentlemen stole the wrong trailer and it put them out of business for good.
