A brand new accuser has stepped out of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office with a claim that he reached under her blouse and aggressively fondled her. The much younger woman was watching his press conference Tuesday with the rest of his staff. She came unglued when Cuomo tried to deny “touching” anyone inappropriately.
Accuser loses her cool
“I told him to stop!” The unnamed accuser blurted out at the TV. All the heads in Andrew Cuomo’s office turned to look at her instead.
As his staff members gathered to view “his first press conference since his misconduct scandal erupted,” the woman became emotional. A female supervisor took her aside and heard all about the “inappropriate encounters with Cuomo.”
Talking to reporters, Cuomo said he was “not aware of any other claim” but he is now. When the new accuser heard him say “as I said last week, this is very simple. I never touched anyone inappropriately. I never made any inappropriate advances,” she glowered.
“No one ever told me at the time that I made them feel uncomfortable. Obviously, there are people who said after the fact they felt uncomfortable.” That’s when she had enough to burst out with her comment amounting to “he pounded me too!”
According to her story, Cuomo called his latest accuser “to the mansion under the apparent pretext of having her assist the governor with a minor technical issue involving his mobile phone.”
Once they “were alone in Cuomo’s private residence on the second floor,” The gropey Governor “closed the door and allegedly reached under her blouse and began to fondle her, according to the source.” The leak says he “aggressively groped” the woman, who was described as “much younger than Cuomo.”
Cuomo fights back
The liberal governor takes the standard defense move of deny everything. The sun doesn’t rise in the east, it rises a little north or south of east depending on when and where the observer is.
He responded, “I have never done anything like this. The details of this report are gut-wrenching. I am not going to speak to the specifics of this or any other allegation given the ongoing review.” The latest accuser is only one of many.
Before yesterday, the most serious allegation that had anything to do with inappropriate conduct came from accuser Lindsey Boylan. He only kissed her. He didn’t try to milk her as well. Boylan explained in a written statement, “I tried to excuse his behavior.”
“I told myself ‘it’s only words.’ But that changed after a one-on-one briefing with the Governor to update him on economic and infrastructure projects.” They were allegedly “in his New York City office on Third Avenue.”
“As I got up to leave and walk toward an open door, he stepped in front of me and kissed me on the lips. I was in shock, but I kept walking.” the accuser was more afraid of office gossip.
“I left past the desk of Stephanie Benton. I was scared she had seen the kiss. The idea that someone might think I held my high-ranking position because of the Governor’s ‘crush’ on me was more demeaning than the kiss itself.”
