This man decided it was time to give his Jeep a bath, but the location that he ended up doing it in leaves a lot to be desired…
This man crashed his jeep last August, and he ended up having to get his vehicle lifted out of someone’s backyard pool after a crash on that Monday during that early August afternoon in Gloucester Township in New Jersey.
The car had been heading north on Roosevelt Avenue when it had hit a parked vehicle and then left the roadway, going through two backyards before coming to rest in the in-ground pool of one of the residents around 12:40 p.m., according to a local police report.
The driver self-extricated from the vehicle prior to emergency services arriving and only suffered minor injuries.
The Gloucester Township Engine 88 responded to this crash along with emergency medical services. They proceeded to lift the Jeep out of the pool.
The Camden County Office of Emergency Management and Gloucester Township Office of Emergency Management responded to the scene as well because of Haz-Mat concerns.
The crash is still under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Traffic Safety Unit.
This guy deciding to give his Jeep a bath isn’t the first time that a vehicle has crashed into a pool or a body of water. In August 2019, a vehicle crashed into a Seattle L.A. fitness pool, careening right through the windows in the process. There were some individuals that were swimming in the pool, but luckily, no one was hurt.
Right after this occurred, one of the swimmers decided they needed to free the person who was still trapped in the vehicle. After the shock of the moment subdued, he and another individual started to get to work on it. “We have to hurry because once we open the door the water is going to start flooding in,” one of them said to the other. The driver was speaking Korean, so there was a bit of a language barrier, but they were eventually able to rescue the man from the submerged rental car.
Luckily, in both of these incidents, there were no injured parties.
