Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris decided to boycott the South Carolina Justice Forum on Friday.
Harris has been scheduled to speak at the forum, but she decided not to attend when it was announced that Trump would be awarded the Bipartisan Justice Award at the forum being held at Benedict College.

Kamala Harris is clearly trying to energize the far left by making a stand against Donald Trump.
When announcing her boycott of the event, Harris stated, “Not only does he circumvent the laws of our country and the principles of our Constitution, but there is nothing in his career that is about justice, for justice or in celebration of justice.”
She added, “Today, when it became clear Donald Trump would receive an award after decades of celebrating mass incarceration, pushing the death penalty for innocent black Americans, rolling back police accountability measures and racist behavior that puts people’s lives at risk, and then learned all but [10] Benedict students are excluded from participating, I cannot in good faith be complicit in papering over his record.
“Instead, I’ll host students from all campuses, as well as the broader Columbia community, to come and discuss this critical issue that I’ve worked on for my entire career.”
Harris is a previous winner of this award (2016), so it was more than a bit interesting that she chose to belittle the award by boycotting this event.
She also failed to recognize the criminal justice reform measures Trump has been able to implement during this administration that have clearly helped the African American community.
Trump Hits Back
As expected, Donald Trump immediately stuck back at Harris, sending out a couple of tweets that absolutely shredded her.
It is really hard for Harris’ claims of Trump being a racist when he is standing on stage winning an award that is historically won by African Americans and presented by African Americans that was held at a largely African American university.
This was nothing more than grandstanding by Harris, who is now a bottom-dweller in the campaign after enjoying a very brief stint as one of the frontrunners.
