Get Ready for Un-edited Gay Sex Movies on Delta Planes

Gay Movies on Planes

So, if you are anything remotely like me, you read that headline and said “WTF?!”

I have to be honest, I thought it was clickbait when I read the original story, but it appears to be legit.

After the LGBT community complained that sexual-oriented scenes were removed from a couple of gay-themed movies, Delta Airlines has apparently caved to their request.

Always Been That Way

Before we get into the actual complaint, let’s be clear about something…

Movies on planes have always been edited to remove controversial, offensive, and sexual content, and for good reason.

Planes have a rather diverse crowd who are not all choosing to see these movies.

Yes, you have to purchase the movie to hear the audio, but the person next to you may not be interested in it at all.

That being the case, airlines have companies that carefully edit these movies to ensure those not actually requesting the movie will not be offended in any way, shape, or form.

Which brings us to this complaint…

Pacifying Liberals

Two movies recently shown on Delta flights were “Rocketman” and “Booksmart.”

“Rocketman” is the story of Elton John and has some homosexual scenes that were removed.

“Booksmart” is a coming of age film and had lesbian scenes as well as female masturbation scenes.

I think most normal people would agree that even if these were “straight” movies, this type of content does not need to be shown where underage children are possibly present.

Well, that is not how the LGBT community sees it.

After several complaints were made about the movies being edited, Delta released the following statement:

“We value our in-flight entertainment options as a means to reflect the diversity of the world.

“We are reviewing the processes of our third-party editing vendors to ensure that they are aligned with our values of diversity and inclusion.”

While this issue currently seems to only extend to Delta Airlines, we all know it is only a matter of time before all airlines fall in line.

What is even more bothersome is that we can expect them to show far more of these films out of fear of being labeled homophobic for not showing this type of content on their planes.

So, the next time you fly, don’t be surprised when you look to your left or right and see someone watching a movie with two men or two women having sex, two men or women making out, or someone pleasuring themselves because apparently, allowing that type of content to be shown on a plane is far more important than family values or even common sense.
