Female Homeowner Tests Her Pistol Stopping Power on Would Be Burglar

A female homeowner saved her family and defended her home as she shot a male intruder multiple times after he broke in through her front door.

At around 1 a.m. on the morning of August 20th, a man attempted to burglarize a home, and, unfortunately for him, it was occupied.

When the burglar entered through the front door of the home on the 200 block of Knower Street in south Toledo, Ohio, he was shot several times by the female resident of the home.

The would-be burglar is now fighting for his life in the hospital. The police report indicates that his injuries were life-threatening.

After the shooting, the man stumbled out of the house, and fell onto the front lawn, where he was discovered by the police.

According to reporting from local news outlet WBNS-10TV, “Life-saving procedures were being done on the man as he was being put into the life squad. He was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries. We are told that he did have a pulse.”

The female homeowner was taken in for questioning, just as part of the standard protocol.

There were several children inside the home at the time of the attempted burglary and shooting. No one else was injured during the incident.

The burglar’s identity was not known by Toledo police, and the identity of the female homeowner was not released.

The incident report indicates that more than one occupant of the home fired at the intruder, though it does not specify who the other shooter was.

WBNS-10TV reports: “According to the incident report, more than one occupant of the house fired at the intruder, and a male and female were listed as occupants of the house who were involved.”
