Homeowners in the Kansas City suburbs found something disturbing in their mailboxes on Monday. It seems that an extremist group is targeting supporters of President Trump.
Chair of the American Conservative Union Matt Schlapp tweeted a picture of the letter on Monday morning, captioning the post: “These fliers are being left in Kansas City neighborhoods. This on top of former KS National Committeeman getting run over on his yard due to his Trump sign. Please pray that America will reject this violence and hate.”

The picture shows a letter, which opens with “Dear Neighbor,” and goes on to say that the letter’s recipient has been identified “as being a Trump supporter” by the unnamed extremist group.
“Your address has been added into our database as a target for when we attack should Trump not concede the election. We recommend that you check your home insurance policy and make [sure] that it is current and that it has adequate coverage for fire damage. You have been given ‘Fair Warning,’” the letter continues.
The unnamed extremist group ends their threat with: “Always remember, that it was ‘you’ that started this Civil War. Be prepared to face the severe consequences of your pre-emptive actions against democracy.”
Schlapp’s Twitter post has been shared more than 12,000 times, and has received over 1,000 comments.
The account for a Republican group in Ohio responded to Schlapp’s tweet, stating: “The @TheJusticeDept needs to open an investigation immediately into all of these tactics to suppress and intimidate Republican voters. It’s happening here. It’s a nationally organized effort.”

“I’m hopeful they are ready to face consequences of their actions quickly. We cannot continue to let these people rule and rant in the streets of our country,” a Twitter user replied.

This is far from the first time conservatives and Trump supporters have been threatened or attacked because of their political views, and unfortunately, it probably won’t be the last.
