For some reason, Hillary Clinton thought it would be a good idea to accuse a Democrat presidential candidate of being a Russian asset.
Not only did the focus of her accusations, Tulsi Gabbard, blast Hillary Clinton, but most of the Democrat field absolutely unloaded on Hillary for making such absurd accusations against a fellow Democrat and member of our armed forces.
Tulsi Speaks Out
It seems the one thing all Democrats have in common is they do not like Hillary Clinton.
After Hillary made her comments, Gabbard obviously defended herself and in the process, kind of defended Trump for the same accusations that were made against him during the 2016 election.
Gabbard stated, “I don’t control them [Russians]. I don’t control what anyone else says or does.
“All I can do I focus on the message that I am bringing to this campaign.”
It sure would have been nice to hear Gabbard make a statement like that when Trump was being accused of Russian collusion!
While talking about the situation with a reporter, Tulsi was far less reserved in her comments.
She stated, “This smear campaign is coming from people like Hillary Clinton and her proxies, the foreign policy establishment, the military-industrial complex, who obviously feel threatened by my message and by my campaign because they know that they can’t control me.”
Rallying Behind Tulsi
It did not take long for Tulsi’s fellow candidates to get behind her on this, either.
While the frontrunners decided to stay out of it, no doubt hoping for an eventual Hillary endorsement, several other candidates had no problem calling Hillary out over her comments.
Andrew Yang, who has created sort of a cult movement within this election, stated, “Tulsi Gabbard deserves much more respect and thanks than this.
“She literally just got back from serving our country abroad.”
Marianne Williamson, who is no fan of the establishment, stated, “The Democratic establishment has got to stop smearing women it finds inconvenient!
“The character assassination of women who don’t toe the party line will backfire. Stay strong @TulsiGabbard. You deserve respect and you have mine.”
The best reaction of all, though, came from Cory Booker.
While Booker did not make an actual comment, the meme he published spoke for itself…
Beto O’Rourke also offered his two cents, simply dismissing Hillary’s comments as nonsense…
Hillary showed the true nature of the Democrat party by calling out Tulsi. They preach respect for women, but they have no problem tearing down one of their own when it serves their purpose.
They speak of unity, yet they make unfounded comments such as this to destroy a person that does not want to fall in line with the narrative the Democrat party is pushing.
Two days later, though, the media has failed to put Hillary on the spot and demand an explanation or proof of her claims.
