So now some people have to consider this: a Dem openly supports domestic terrorists and she wants to have more power over the citizenry. Imagine that! A candidate so liberal that she even supports domestic terrorists…where could this possibly be? Oh right….it’s in Seattle, so I guess there is no shock there.
This ANTIFA-supporting candidate for Seattle City Attorney has thrown her hat in the ring to oversee the budget of this office, which is a staggering $35 million. Now, Seattle is a very liberal place, so most of the voters would probably overlook the fact that she supports ANTIFA. However, this woman has also declared bankruptcy, lives in subsidized housing, and has a massive amount of personal debt. Looks like another example of “do as I say, not do as I do.”
Nicole Thomas Kennedy is an individual who has campaigned on cutting the City Attorney’s criminal division and ending the prosecution of misdemeanors. However, it’s a good thing that there is no longer such a thing as debtor’s prison any longer, because this woman has a massive amount of debt in the range of at least $465,000, most of which is student loans.
She has at least 13 collection agencies that are chasing her debts. The woman also had a series of parking tickets that were discharged for bankruptcy as well.
Thomas-Kennedy’s apartment building is right in the heart of Seattle University’s business district, and according to the apartment building’s website this apartment is limited to people who earn 60 percent of the Area Median Income, approximately $62,000 for Thomas-Kennedy’s family of three. As of 2019, rent in the building is $1,233.
It was from that location that she regularly tweeted about the activities of the Seattle Police Department during the ANTIFA and BLM riots in 2020.
According to public records, Thomas-Kennedy had worked as a Public Defense Attorney for King County in 2020, making a salary of at least $47.65 per hour. This is at least $97,000 per year at a full-time rate. This doesn’t even factor in her husband’s income from a private practice.
She allegedly feared that she would lose her subsidized housing, so she quit this job in early 2021. Her story was that she was going to pursue “pro-bono work as a legal activist.”
There are also some inconsistencies with Thomas-Kennedy’s filings to run for office. The state PDC financial affairs disclosure lists between $300,000 and $400,000 in student loan debt, but there was a similar disclosure to the city of Seattle that lists only $0. There are similar disclosures that seem to indicate that she was trying to skirt the open payroll deductions.
Even though Thomas-Kennedy has a mountain of baggage, if she wins the bid to become Seattle’s City Attorney, she would be responsible for the city’s $35 million budget regardless, even though this Dem openly supports domestic terrorism.
