A crazed shooter injured a Tampa police officer and several others in a series of at least six random attacks last Thursday.
Massive Shooting Spree in Florida
The shooting spree lasted 40 minutes and took place around 7:00 p.m. on July 30. 31-year-old lunatic Antonio Cruz Ortiz reportedly shot from a moving vehicle while driving down Interstate 275, WFLA reported.
Police responded to the initial incident after reports that a person was shooting while driving. Officers found two people with gunshot wounds but were expected to survive.
A short time later, officers responded after a person reported a man shooting at children from a vehicle. Deputies found five people said they were shot at but no one was injured.
Around 7:30 the next shooting happened and officers found two people with injuries who were shot by a driver while they were inside their vehicle.
The terrorists then shot another car moments later and flattened the tires. The driver pulled over and called 911 but did not sustain injuries.
Another driver was then shot at and while a bullet hit his truck, he was not hurt.
Police Pull Over Shooter and He Open Fires Again
As if that was not enough shooting for one day, when Cruz Ortiz was eventually pulled over by a Tampa police officer, the anarchist opened fired yet again.
The 24-year-old officer crouched while bullets came through his windshield and exited through the back windshield.
The shooter then ran into a nearby apartment complex where the officer found him on a third-floor area and arrested him.
The officer received an arm injury from being shot but it was non-life-threatening. The Tampa Police Chief Dugan reported that the shot officer was only on duty for 11 months and is being treated at Tampa General Hospital.
