After challenging this communist left-wing state’s lockdown orders, a small business owner found that the state seized $165,000 from his business’ account.
Ian Smith, the owner of Atilis Gym in Bellmawr, New Jersey, has played a major role in the fight against the state’s coronavirus lockdown orders.
Smith announced on Instagram that, while he was in the middle of a legal battle against the state and Democrat Governor Phil Murphy, the government emptied his bank account.
“As of this morning, without warning and without permission and in the middle of litigation, Governor Murphy took it upon himself to empty our bank account, entirely… to the tune of $165,000,” he said while holding up a sheet of paper.
Smith also revealed that his gym has not charged its members since April 1, 2020, and was relying heavily on the remaining funds in his business account, which was made up mostly of donations. He said that he managed to pay his bills solely through donations and online merchandise sales.
“This will not stop us. We will not stand down. We will continue to fight this fight because we know—based upon what is outlined in the constitution, that when we get to the right court, and when we get to a judge who respects the Constitution, we will win this case,” he said.
Smith, 33, has been fighting the Democrat state and its communist style lockdowns for months. He was arrested in July after allegedly violating Governor Murphy’s lockdown orders. Smith and his partner, Frank Trumbetti, 51, were charged with fourth-degree contempt, obstruction, and several other charges.
Todd Starnes, host of the “Todd Starnes Show,” interviewed Smith soon after his arrest. In the interview, he called out what he believed to be a double standard in the state. Smith said that New Jersey, like all other Democrat states, routinely drops charges against left-wing protestors who violate lockdowns, yet they targeted his business.
