CNN Mocks SCOTUS, Following Ruling on Religious Freedom

SCOTUS ruling governor cuomo covid lockdown

The SCOTUS just ruled in favor of religious freedom and CNN is pissed. One columnist called the ruling “scientifically illiterate.” Lefties claim the court’s decision is going to cost lives. They are such drama queens.

SCOTUS stops Democrat Governor

The Left and their partners at the mainstream media want us scared, locked in our homes with our masks on while we patiently wait for our government checks to roll in.

But freedom loving patriots aren’t having it. Many Americans are eager to enjoy the holidays with family and get together for Sunday church services. New Yorkers were upset when Governor Andrew Cuomo placed restrictions on religious services in the state.

In some areas declared “red zones,” churches and synagogues could only have ten people in attendance. Religious leaders filed a complaint that went to the SCOTUS.

In a 5-4 vote, the justices ruled in favor of the religious institutions. The decision will block Governor Cuomo from issuing such restrictions.

CNN was quick to respond with their virus hysterics claiming that SCOTUS Justice Amy Coney Barrett and the other “scientifically illiterate judges” in the court were “against public-health science at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.” Left-wing Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs is concerned the SCOTUS ruling will discourage other tyrannical Governors from imposing similar lockdowns. “The grave, imminent danger lies in the rest of the country, where public health authorities will feel hamstrung to restrict religious gatherings even when the virus is spreading out of control.”

Justice Barrett defends liberty

Part of the SCOTUS decision reads, “Members of this Court are not public health experts, and we should respect the judgment of those with special expertise and responsibility in this area, but even in a pandemic, the Constitution cannot be put away and forgotten.

The restrictions at issue here, by effectively barring many from attending religious services, strike at the very heart of the First Amendment’s guarantee of religious liberty. Before allowing this to occur, we have a duty to conduct a serious examination of the need for such a drastic measure.

There is no world in which the Constitution tolerates color-coded executive edicts that reopen liquor stores and bike shops but shutter churches, synagogues and mosques.”
