When Britney Spears breaks her silence, it is definitely golden. She is now saying some very brutal things about her family, that is for sure.
When Britney Spears breaks her silence, she will say some honest-to-god things such as this gem: “My family should all be in jail” for how they were involved in my 13-year conservatorship.
it was a recent Instagram post where Spears answered the tremendous fan questions in that video and criticized her family, even going after the woman who gave birth to her, calling her that “church going mother” and allowing her to continue in that strict conservatorship maintained by her father, Jamie Spears.
“I do know how embarrassing it is to share the fact I’ve never seen cash or wasn’t able to drive my car ….” Spears said on Instagram.
“But honestly it still blows my mind every day I wake up how my family and the conservatorship were able to do what they did to me … it was demoralizing and degrading!!!!”
She continued: “I’m not even mentioning all the bad things they did to me which they should all be in jail for … yes including my church going mother!!!!”
Under normal circumstances, Spears said that she is used “keeping her mouth shut” and “keeping the peace” for the sake of family unity.
“But not this time …” she said. “I have NOT FORGOTTEN and I hope they can look up tonight and know EXACTLY WHAT I MEAN !!!!”
Spears has now been freed from her conservatorship. It was just a few months ago that a judge granted her the termination she had long been seeking. This conservatorship was a legal framework that took control of Spears’ personal and financial decisions, taking them completely out of her hands. This was originally enacted by her father Jamie Spears in 2008, but ironically he would ultimately file a request to end this conservatorship after Spears’ new lawyer wanted him to turn over 13 years worth of documents so that he could determine how this conservatorship could be managed.
It was earlier this year that Britney gave a public testimony that detailed what her personal experience was like living under the conservatorship. She called this legal guardianship “abusive” and said that her father “loved” having control over her as one of the conservators. If what she says is true, it sounds like Joe Jackson all over again.
Spears’ mother, Lynne, didn’t even get involved in the conservatorship until 2019, when she hired a law firm so that she could be involved with her daughter’s case during “a time of crisis.” Lynne’s lawyers told the court that she presented a “very disturbing story” about how her daughter was being placed under “unreasonable restrictions” and being subjected to unwarranted medical treatments.
Lynne Spears has since requested that Britney’s estate should pay her legal fees, and she has filed a court petition saying that the goal of Lynne’s legal team is “to help Britney achieve independence from her conservatorship father.”
In a new Instagram post, Spears said that she is now grateful to be independent and loves “feeling like a woman” again. She said that she is planning on helping other people with disabilities in conservatorships, and she thanked the #FreeBritney movement for saving her life in that video as well.
When Britney Spears breaks her silence, you can bet that it will be something that will be profound, in only the way that an artist can give.
