Several Agencies on the Scene, Suspicious Box Truck

Authorities received reports that a suspicious white box truck was “playing audio similar to what was heard before the Christmas Day explosion” in Nashville, Tennessee.

A suspicious vehicle was seen parked at Crossroads Market in Walter Hill at around 10:30 a.m. on the morning of December 27, according to reports from the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.

After the explosion that took place in Nashville, where the vehicle containing the explosives had been hear playing the song “Downtown,” by Petula Clark, along with audio warning those nearby to evacuate the area, authorities around the country have been concerned about the potential for another attack. Similar audio was reportedly heard coming from the suspicious vehicle in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Law enforcement arrived on the scene, and pulled the vehicle over for a traffic stop on 231 South near the Cedars of Lebanon State Park. Residents in the area were ordered to evacuate as a precaution

A robot was deployed, which approached and hit the box truck, but an explosion did not occur. The vehicle was searched by law enforcement, and no explosives were found.

Authorities reported that the truck driver has been detained, and a minor was also found inside the truck.

FBI agents and Wilson County deputies were also called to the scene. The investigation is now being led by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The southbound side of Highway 231 was closed from the Cedars of Lebanon State Park to Richmond Shop Road until 3:30 p.m.
