Two military veterans in Congress have created a whistleblower form to allow military members to report “woke” indoctrination efforts.
Military Service
Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton and Texas Representative Dan Crenshaw, both Republicans, have decided that the military needs to be saved. Representative Crenshaw, a retired lieutenant commander with the U.S. Navy and former Navy SEAL, served his country overseas in five tours of duty. During his third deployment, Crenshaw was hit by an IED blast in Afghanistan, losing his right eye. Several surgeries later, he returned to service and was later deployed twice more. Senator Cotton was deployed to both Afghanistan and Iraq, serving in several combat units including the 101st Airborne and the 506th Infantry Regiment.
Calling Out the Destructive ‘Woke’ Agenda
Cotton and Crenshaw have decided to team up to take on the push to woke-ify the U.S. military, creating a whistleblower form to allow military members to report the indoctrination.
âEnough is enough,” Crenshaw tweeted. “We wonât let our military fall to woke ideology. We have just launched a whistleblower webpage where you can submit your story. Your complaint will be legally protected, and go to my office and @SenTomCotton.â

In two subsequent tweets, Crenshaw continued his announcement, writing: âWith written permission we will anonymously publish egregious complaints on social media and tell the country whatâs happening in our military. For too long, progressive Pentagon staffers have been calling the shots for our warfighters, and spineless military commanders have let it happen. Now we are going to expose you.â

Here is the statement included on the whistleblower form:
“We advise that whistleblowers use your personal resources and contact information when communicating submitting this form, and that you do not use your work equipment or work contact information. Further, do not submit classified information or other information barred from release through this form or by email.
Various U.S. laws at the federal, state and local level prohibit retaliation against whistleblowers for providing information to Congress. However, you still take serious risks when you report allegations of wrongdoing. We recommend that you consult an attorney experienced in whistleblower law for further guidance. We respect your confidentiality, and we will use your contact information only to follow up with you regarding your submission. You may submit a disclosure anonymously. However, please be aware that anonymous disclosures may limit our ability to respond to the information that you provide.
All submissions will be shared confidentially with the office of Senator Tom Cotton.”
Other Republicans are also asking for members of the military to come forward. Representative Mike Rogers, the ranking Republican member of the House Armed Services Committee, spoke about statements he has already received from service members. âMy Republican colleagues and I hear regularly from active-duty and retired service members that even holding conservative values is now enough to endanger a service memberâs military career,â Rogers said.
Soon after the new âwokeâ recruitment videos were released by the U.S. Army, Representative Crenshaw pointed out the destruction of the military’s credibility, responding on Twitter to a post about the military shutting down comments on the YouTube videos due to intense backlash.
Apparently the woke military leadership got their feelings hurt and couldn’t take it. âThe Army earlier this week acknowledged that it has cut off the comments section on the videos. Laura DeFrancisco, a spokeswoman for the Army Enterprise Marketing Office, said the decision was made after a âsignificant uptick in negative commentaryâ in the comments section of the spots,â The Washington Times reported.
âI hope the message to military leadership is clear: We arenât going to stand by as our military becomes another institution crippled by woke political correctness. No more critical race theory, no more identity politics, no more political witch hunts. Weâve had enough,â Crenshaw tweeted.

The Bottom Line
We have allowed the left to slowly take over nearly every cultural and political institution over the past few decades, and now we are seeing the destruction they have caused. Is it too late for the military?
Thanks to the “woke” leadership, the rest of the world is likely laughing at us. A whistleblower form may aide in uncovering the truth behind the woke campaign in the military, but will Congress be able to fix it?
Unless the GOP takes back Congress with enough votes to overrule a presidential veto in 2022, it is unlikely that anything substantial can be done. At least Crenshaw and Cotton are trying to do something about it, which is more than can be said about the rest of the spineless Congressional GOP.
