Breaking: Carrie Underwood Attacked

Carrie Underwood Attacked

The left is losing their last collective brain cells over former American Idol and country music star Carrie Underwood liking a tweet from conservative commentator Matt Walsh.

Leftist Twitter is freaking out over Carrie Underwood liking a tweet from Matt Walsh that shows a speech he gave concerning mask mandates for children.

Walsh’s Speech

Walsh gave the speech to the school board in Nashville, where his children go to school. In the short statement, he compares the school board’s mask mandate to rabid dogs wearing muzzles, and called masking children “child abuse.”

The conservative commentator also listed the facts, showing that mask mandates are ineffective and harmful, especially for children.

Walsh closed his speech by stating that the mask mandate is a disgrace, and telling the school board that they should be ashamed of themselves. He was met with a round of applause from many other parents in attendance.

The video has already been viewed more than 1 million times in less than a week.

If you would like to watch the video, Walsh re-shared it after the outrage, with a hilarious comment: “Please do not watch or like this video. The leftist outrage mob will be very mad if you do. Please avoid at all costs, thank you.”

Leftist Outrage

Along with 43,500 others, Carrie Underwood liked Walsh’s tweet. The fact that she may have an opinion that differs from the Democrat narrative incited the wrath of the mob.

Of course, the left had already had a collective fit over Walsh’s video, and once they heard that a member of the celebrity elite — one who never comments on political subjects — had liked the tweet, things just got worse.

Outkick described it best: “Those who like masks more than their own children are firing negative tweets towards Underwood faster than the Taliban can scoop up free firearms.”

Keith Edwards, a member of the pedophile-supporting group The Lincoln Project, was one of the people who outed Underwood. He posted a screenshot of her liked tweet, and wrote “Not this …”

Another Twitter user decided to try to diminish Underwood’s achievements because she has a differing opinion, writing: “Eww Carrie Underwood. We always knew Kelly Clarkson was the only true Idol winner. Thanks for proving it again.”

“Carrie Underwood is an anti-masker. She’s canceled in my book. Who else’s?” wrote yet another whiny leftist.

Many other leftists were comparing Underwood to country music legend Dolly Parton, who has never made public her political views, but has supported the vaccine.

“The Legendary Dolly Parton helped to fund Moderna’s vaccine. Carrie Underwood liked a tweet by an anti-vaccine MAGA propagandist. Always be a Dolly,” one Twitter user wrote.

Another Twitter user was so obsessed with this non-story that he changed his name on Twitter to “COVID Underwood,” and shared a tweet which read: “So Carrie Underwood is an anti-masker? Jesus take the wheel indeed,” referring to her song Jesus Take the Wheel.

Conservatives Respond

Scott Morefield, a writer for Townhall.com, made an excellent point about what Underwood’s reaction should be to this so-called controversy.

“If Carrie Underwood declines to bow to the bullying leftist mob – who already hate her and won’t ‘forgive’ her even if she begs – she will gain far more fans than the millions she already has. Given today’s political climate, I don’t expect it, but it would be refreshing to see,” he wrote.

Matt Walsh responded to the outrage satirically, writing:

“Like anyone else, I am upset and disturbed that Carrie Underwood liked one of my tweets. She should know better than to indirectly endorse the opinions of an extremist and scoundrel such as myself. Her lack of judgment is appalling. I demand that she renounce me and apologize.”

In another tweet, Walsh wrote: “Carrie Underwood liked my video and now the mob is coming for her. She should know better than to like something that they don’t like. This is an unforgivable sin.”

The meltdown & backlash against [Carrie Underwood] for liking a tweet by conservative [Matt Walsh] demonstrates the hubris & bullying of the left after years of unchallenged cultural dominance,” wrote Andy Ngo, author and Editor-at-Large of the Post Millennial.

“In Afghanistan, women are getting raped by terrorists. In America, people with blue hair are throwing a tantrum because Carrie Underwood liked a tweet. We’re doomed,” wrote Christian Walker.

“Carrie Underwood liked a video about kids not being forced to wear masks – a position totally supported by data – and she’s being called an anti-vaxxer. In case you thought your ‘nuanced’ takes would save you from the leftist cancel mob… they won’t,” wrote author and podcast host Allie Beth Stuckey.
