In yet another rambling incoherent speech against the Second Amendment, Joe Biden basically threatened to use nuclear weapons against the American people.
As usual, the left cannot make a coherent argument against the American people’s God-given right to bear arms. During a June 23 press conference, Joe Biden blatantly lied about the Second Amendment.
âThe Second Amendment, from the day it was passed, limited the type of people who could own a gun and what type of weapon you could own,â Biden said. âYou couldnât buy a cannon.”
That is objectively false. In fact, Biden has tried to make this claim before, and even left-wing PolitiFact had to call him out on it, writing: “There are documented instances of privateers, or privately owned vessels that legally attacked enemy ships during wartime, setting sail with cannons during the period.”
Julie Anne Sweet, a historian and director of military studies at Baylor University, also noted at the time that it was “highly unlikely that there were restrictions on the private ownership” of cannons.
Of course, Biden and the left don’t actually care about the truth, they are just trying to push their narrative.
“Those who say the blood of the, the blood of patriots, you know, and all this stuff about how weâre going to have to move against the government. Well, the tree of liberty is not watered with the blood of patriots, whatâs happened is that there never been, if you want, if you think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons,â Biden continued. âThe point is that thereâs always been the ability to limit, rationally limit, the type of weapon that can be owned, and who can own it.â

That rambling incoherent threat led to outrage on Twitter, with many people tweeting: “Hands up, don’t nuke!” and pointing out the cognitive dissonance that the left has in regards to this topic.
“Wait, so a guy dressed like a Burning Man reject in a buffalo head and his motley crew of Red Dawn LARPers almost overthrew the entire government but you canât own a semi-auto because the mighty government will nuke you into next week? PICK A NARRATIVE,” wrote Dana Loesch, former spokesperson for the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Journalist Glenn Greenwald shared a tweet about the cognitive dissonance, writing: “Precisely. Biden’s mockery of the citizenry – you think you can threaten the US Govt with guns? You need F-15s and nukes for that – shows how moronic is the depiction of a few hundred MAGA protesters as a threat to the stability of history’s most militarized and armed government.”

“This is a really really bad approach – telling people that resistance is useless. Not confidence building. An alternative and better approach, never tried, might be demonstrating that the government is willing to abide by the restraints of the Constitution on its power,” wrote First Amendment attorney Casey Mattox.
